1987

Founded in Nampula, which sold local goods from Maputo (textiles and clothing).

1997
1997

The operations were expanded and started the import of goods from Dubai.

2000
2000

A plastic factory was established, producing small volumes and only focussed on a small subset of plastic products.

2008
2008

Acquired the Nacala factory to manufacture plastic branded products, later expanded plastic production capacity to industrial levels. Introduced hardware products.

2012
2012

The plastic factory in Nacala was inaugurated by the president.

2013
2013

Further expansion of plastic production to 8x times its original production capacity, including a wide variety of plastic products. Started with importing Lifo motorcycles.

2014
2014

The imports have expanded to multiple brands, including Vega, Akai, Sacheta and other products.

2016
2016

Started exporting agricultural commodities during the FX crises experienced in Mozambique.

2018
2018

Became the largest agricultural exporter in Mozambique due to export success with pigeon peas.

2019
2019

The group started its own distribution division for the distribution of imported and manufactured goods through a network of retailers and wholesalers across Mozambique.

2024
2024

Due to international expansion, the group rebranded to Africa Holdings which resonates with it international suppliers and clients. The Africa brand creates consistency among group companies. The group is restructured to take advantage of future opportunities in Trading & Distribution, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Infrastructure and Commodities.
